Lumen is Selin’s browser. Trackers and ads are blocked on every page, your browsing never leaves your phone, and Selin is one tap away on whatever you’re reading.

The shield
Every protection below is on by default. If one of them breaks a site you need, you can turn the shield off for that site alone — not for everything.
Trackers and ads, blocked
Known advertising, analytics and fingerprinting scripts never load. Lumen counts what it stopped on every page, and names them.
Fingerprint resistance
Canvas, WebGL and audio readings are given per-session noise and your device details are normalised, so sites can’t build a stable ID out of your hardware.
No third-party cookies
Embedded frames get an in-memory cookie jar that’s thrown away, so they can’t follow you from one site to the next.
No referrer, no WebRTC leak
Sites never learn which page sent you. WebRTC — which can expose your real IP even behind a proxy — is switched off.
HTTPS-only
Insecure links are upgraded and cleartext pages refused, except on your own local network.
Campaign IDs stripped
The click and campaign tags that follow you between sites are removed from every address before it loads.

Tabs, history, saved pages, find-in-page and desktop mode — the ordinary things, done properly.
Ask Selin about any page
Summarise it, pull the key points, translate it, or ask whether it’s credible. Selin reads what’s actually rendered — nothing is sent until you tap Ask, and exactly what happens when you do is spelled out below.
Reader view
Strip a page down to clean typography on Lumen’s own canvas. No layout shifts, no interstitials, no newsletter modal.
Private tabs
An ephemeral data store: cookies, cache and local storage exist only for the life of the tab and are never written to history.
A search bar that isn’t a tracker
DuckDuckGo by default, with Startpage, Brave and Ecosia a tap away. Your address bar shouldn’t be a surveillance surface.

It stays on your device
History, saved pages and settings never leave your phone. Lumen has no account of its own, no sync and no analytics — including no sync to this website.
What happens when you Ask Selin
This is the moment the privacy story changes, so it’s worth being exact. Tapping Ask sends the page’s text and your question to Selin’s servers. Those conversations are not used to train AI models, are never sold, and you can delete them at any time. Generating the reply also means sending your message to the model provider behind your tier. Nothing is sent unless you tap Ask.
Fingerprint resistance reduces tracking — it doesn’t end it
The noise Lumen adds is per-session, which breaks the link between today’s browsing and last week’s. Within a single session you remain somewhat identifiable. Treat it as raising the cost of tracking, not as invisibility.
What it is, and isn’t, built to stop
Lumen is built against commercial surveillance: ad networks, analytics, fingerprinting, cross-site cookies. It is not a defence against malware, a compromised device, someone with physical access, or a determined, well-resourced adversary targeting you specifically.
Your network still sees your traffic
Lumen blocks trackers and hardens each page, but it does not route your traffic through a proxy or the Tor network. Your internet provider and the sites you visit still see your IP address. For anonymity at the network layer you need a VPN or Tor in addition to Lumen — anyone telling you a browser alone is enough is selling you something.
The engine underneath
On iPhone and Android, Lumen renders with the system browser engine — WebKit on iOS, as Apple requires of every browser, and Android’s Chromium WebView. Engine security patches therefore reach you with your OS updates rather than waiting on us to ship a release.
How Lumen is paid for
A free privacy tool invites a fair question: what’s the catch? There isn’t a hidden one. Lumen ships inside Selin, and Selin is funded by subscriptions. You are not the product, there are no ads, and your browsing isn’t a revenue stream.
What you can’t verify yet
Every claim above currently rests on our word. An independent security audit is planned but has not happened yet, and Lumen’s source isn’t open to inspection today. Until one of those changes, weigh this page as what it is — a claim from the company that makes the product.
