Delete your account
Selin, by Quantum Protection Security Services LLC · Last updated July 30, 2026
You can delete your Selin account at any time, and you don't need our permission or a support ticket to do it. Deletion is permanent: it removes your account and the content attached to it from our systems, and it cannot be undone.
Delete it yourself
This is immediate, and it works the same way in the app and on the web. You'll be asked for your password to confirm — that's the only safeguard against someone deleting your account from a device you left signed in.
- Open Account — in the mobile app, or on the web.
- Scroll to Delete account.
- Enter your password and confirm.
You'll be asked to sign in first. If you can't, use the request route below instead.
If you can't sign in
Uninstalling the app doesn't delete your account, and losing access to your password shouldn't trap your data with us. Email denderle@selin-ai.com from the address on the account, with the subject Account deletion request.
We'll verify the request comes from the account holder before acting on it — we won't delete an account on the say-so of whoever sent the email — and complete it within 30 days. You'll get written confirmation when it's done.
What gets deleted
Your account is removed, and everything that belongs to it goes with it:
- Your profile — name, email, username, avatar and settings.
- Conversations with Selin, including attachments and generated images and video.
- Connect content — posts, Blooms, stories, comments, likes, groups and Gardens you own.
- Direct messages you sent, and your side of every thread.
- Playlists, favourites, watchlists, reviews, ratings and your Vinyl listening diary.
- Saved memories, projects, canvases and assistants.
- Notification tokens, sessions and API keys.
Any active subscription is cancelled as part of the same step, so you aren't billed after deleting.
What we keep, and why
Three narrow exceptions. We'd rather name them than claim deletion is more absolute than it is:
- Payment and transaction records. Held by our payment processor, Stripe, and retained for the period tax and financial regulations require. These are records of payments, not your card details — Selin never stores those.
- Abuse and moderation reports. If content of yours was reported, the report is kept with the account identifier attached, so a deleted account can't be used to clear a moderation history.
- Encrypted backups. Our database host takes snapshots on a fixed schedule — daily snapshots kept for 6 days, weekly for one month and monthly for three months — alongside a rolling point-in-time recovery window of roughly four weeks. A deleted account can therefore remain in a backup until the last snapshot containing it ages out, which can take up to three months. Those backups exist only for disaster recovery, and are never used to bring a deleted account back.
Timing
Deleting it yourself takes effect immediately — the account and its content are removed from our live systems as you confirm, not queued for review. Emailed requests are completed within 30 days of us verifying that you own the account.
Those two timings describe our live systems. Encrypted backups age out separately, on the schedule above, which is the one part of this that takes longer than a month.
